Obinna Umeh

Product Engineer at BoxPower

Obinna Umeh has a diverse work experience. From January 2023 to the present, they have been working as a Product Engineer at BoxPower. Prior to this role, they were a Software and Energy Systems Engineer at BoxPower from January 2021 to December 2022.

In 2020, Obinna worked as a Full Stack Web Development Intern at BoxPower. During their internship, they collaborated with a team to develop EASI, a web application that improved energy audit creation. Obinna utilized HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL for this project.

Before joining BoxPower, Obinna had various roles at Princeton University. From June 2017 to May 2019, they were a Student Assistant at the Friend Center Engineering Library. Obinna also worked as a Student Assistant at the Firestone Library Microforms Division from September 2016 to May 2019. In July and August 2017, they served as a Student Conservation Assistant at the Firestone Library Rare Books and Special Collections, where they prepared rare books for preservation treatment and designed labels.

In addition, Obinna had an internship experience at Princeton in Africa in 2017. As an IT and Marketing Analytics Intern, they created and managed a Google AdWords Campaign for the organization. Obinna also organized various events for Princeton in Africa, including Reunions, Orientation, and the annual benefit gala.

Obinna Umeh completed their high school education at Loyola Jesuit College from 2009 to 2015, earning a High School Diploma.

Afterward, they pursued higher education at Princeton University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering.

Following their undergraduate studies, Obinna went on to attend Columbia University from 2019 to 2020 to complete a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
