Al Lessig is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software asset management. Currently serving as the Head of Software Asset Management at BP since August 2009, Lessig oversees SAM services for the Application Portfolio within the Upstream group. Prior roles include Software License Consultant as an independent contractor, and a decade-long tenure at Computer Sciences Corporation where leadership positions included Director of Software Asset Management for the Global Outsourcing Services business unit and Senior Manager of Technical Services. Lessig began a career in the tech industry as a Manager/Systems Programmer at General Dynamics. With a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, Lessig brings over 30 years of expertise to the field.
