Alex Orbell

Alex Orbell is currently the Business Development Lead for New Oil & Gas Opportunities at bp, where they focus on identifying innovative solutions in the energy sector. Previously, they held several roles at Tullow Oil, including Senior Commercial Advisor and Lead Commercial Analyst, while also serving as President and Treasurer for AAPG Young Professionals London. Alex earned a BSc in Oceanography with Physical Geography from the University of Southampton and a Distinction in MSc Petroleum Geoscience from Royal Holloway, University of London. Their early career included engineering roles at HR Wallingford and a graduate position in geoscience.
