Anna Mikis is a biomass policy and sustainability lead, currently serving as the Policy and Sustainability Lead for Biofeedstocks at bp. Previously, Anna led the development of the UK's Biomass Strategy at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero from 2021 to 2023. With extensive expertise in climate science, Anna has a deep understanding of soil and peatland science, which informs their work on climate mitigation and energy sector sustainability. Anna holds a PhD from Cardiff University and has contributed to various roles, including as an Evidence Lead for Soils and Peatlands at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
