Benjamin Gruhne

Benjamin Gruhne has extensive experience in the field of chemical engineering, with a focus on operations and process management in the refining industry. Benjamin served as a Tutor for Physical Chemistry at Hochschule Niederrhein from September 2012 to February 2014. In various roles at bp, from 2012 to 2018, Benjamin progressed from a Trainee as a Process Safety Engineer to a Senior Operations Engineer, managing complex refining units including distillation and hydrocracking. Key responsibilities included performance monitoring, catalyst management, and safety assessments. Benjamin also held positions such as Operations Superintendent, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. Academically, Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Process Technology and Management from the University of Strathclyde, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a qualification as a Chemical Production Technician.
