Carl Hickson

Carl Hickson serves as the VP of Social Performance & Programmes at bp since February 2021, leading the group's social performance Centre of Excellence and managing social investment programmes across seven countries. Prior roles at bp include Business Advisor to the EVP of People, Communications & Culture and VP of Future Talent, where responsibilities encompassed strategic workforce planning and initiatives aimed at promoting equitable access to job opportunities. Prior to bp, Carl held the position of Associate Partner at Dalberg, managing multiple consulting projects in Africa, and served as Strategy Manager at Accenture, focusing on organizational effectiveness across various international clients. Carl holds an MA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
