Cathy Tway

Cathy Tway is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and catalysis with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Senior Director of Chemistry and Catalysis at bp since February 2024, Tway previously held significant roles at Johnson Matthey, including Director of Product Development R&D and Technology & Applications Director for Catalyst Technologies from April 2019 to January 2024. Prior positions at Dow involved R&D Director and Technical Leader roles focused on materials science and heterogeneous catalysis. Earlier career experiences include research positions at Celanese, Solutia, Inc., and Akzo Nobel. Cathy Tway earned a PhD in Physical Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a BS in Chemistry from Wichita State University.
