Chris Cooley

Chris Cooley is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Production Support Manager for bp in the Gulf of Mexico since May 2010. Cooley leads the Production Support Unit, overseeing eight squads focused on various aspects such as maintenance, inspection, and engineering reliability. Prior roles at bp include Engineering Manager and area leads for the Atlantis and Nakika platforms, where leadership of engineering teams was fundamental to delivering solutions and promoting continuous improvement. Earlier experience includes positions at Total, where Cooley contributed to subsea production engineering and offshore technical support, as well as roles in project management and facility engineering at Global Project Consultants, EDG, and Oceaneering. Cooley holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University.
