Chris Durman is a Master Mariner at BP Shipping, currently serving on the British Emerald, a 155,000 m³ Diesel Electric LNG Carrier. With over 20 years of experience as a Master and prior roles as Chief Officer and Second Officer, Chris has a comprehensive maritime background that includes significant contributions to safety and environmental performance. Notably, in 2009, Chris and their team were awarded the BP CEO Ship of the Year and successfully rescued two fishermen adrift at sea.
