Clare Haley

Managing Counsel - Hydrogen and CCS

Clare Haley is a solicitor qualified to practice in Scotland and in England & Wales, with over 25 years of experience in both private practice and in-house legal teams. Currently, they serve as Managing Counsel for Hydrogen and CCS at bp, managing a global team of 15 lawyers and overseeing legal aspects of key projects such as Net Zero Teesside. Previously, Clare held various roles in bp, including Senior Counsel in the Global Projects Organisation and Legal Adviser in the North Sea Legal team. Clare began their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Messrs Burnett & Reid and later consulted for CMS Cameron McKenna on energy and infrastructure matters. They earned a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen.
