David Byard is the VP of Refining and Advanced Fuels Technology at bp, leading a global team of 120 to provide technical support and technology development for advanced fuel offers. Previously, they were part of the Launchpad and Ventures team, overseeing Technology Commercialisation and Intellectual Asset Management. With extensive experience in process engineering, David has contributed to large-scale projects, including a significant low carbon hydrogen power technology initiative and various bioprocess technologies. David holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management from The University of Manchester and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
