Deirdre Hay is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the energy sector. They served as an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University and held various roles at Shell Oil Company from 2004 to 2011, including Geologist. Deirdre was a Lead Geologist at Nexen Petroleum from 2011 to 2013 and worked as an Exploration Manager for BP in India and the Asia Pacific from 2016 to 2019. Currently, they are the Geothermal Lead at BP, applying their expertise in geoscience to advance geothermal energy initiatives. Deirdre earned a PhD in Tectonic Geomorphology from Imperial College London between 1995 and 2003.
