Derek Allen is an experienced pipeline engineer with over 35 years in the oil and gas industry, specializing in onshore and subsea pipeline systems. Currently working at bp as a Senior Subsea Pipelines Engineer in the North Sea Region, Derek has made significant contributions to Pipeline Integrity Management and team development. They have previously held various roles at bp, including project management positions in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, as well as in Trinidad and Tobago. Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Kingston Polytechnic and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from the University of Bristol.
