Grant Cummings

Grant Cummings is a seasoned professional in policy and government affairs, currently serving as Manager of Policy and Federal Government Affairs at bp since October 2023. Cummings has held the position of President at the Alaska State Society since March 2020, where leadership is provided to an organization supporting Alaskans in the Washington, DC area. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Policy Associate at ClearPath, where engagement with NGOs and industry leaders focused on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and clean technology policy development. Legislative experience encompasses roles as Energy and Infrastructure Legislative Aide and Legislative Correspondent in the United States Senate. Cummings' background in petroleum engineering, alongside various internships and positions in energy-related organizations, supports a robust career committed to energy policy, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Cummings earned an MBA and a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
