Hisham Hamid is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and the Head of bp's Global Learning and Skills team for Operations, Wells, and Subsurface, where they focus on enabling over 12,000 employees through world-class learning and technical development. With nearly a decade of experience in the energy sector, Hisham has led initiatives in engineering, talent development, and social mobility, including the design of impactful work experience programs and the development of bp’s social mobility strategy. Currently, Hisham serves on the Executive Board of the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers and as an Ambassador for One Young World, mentoring future leaders in engineering. Recognized as a UK Social Mobility Awards Rising Star in 2022, Hisham continues to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the industry.
