Irene Geleit

Irene Geleit is a decarbonisation and sustainability subject matter expert with a diverse background in climate policy and emissions markets. Irene began their career as an Emissions Market Analyst intern at ECX in 2009 and has since held various roles, including Climate Change Policy Adviser at Shell from 2014 to 2018, where they conducted analyses to support evidence-led policies and foster low carbon technologies. Currently, Irene serves as the Public Policy lead for Climate, Carbon Markets, and Natural Climate Solutions at bp, synthesizing their extensive expertise in international greenhouse gas and energy policy. Additionally, Irene is pursuing a BA in Economics at the University of Leeds.
