James Collett is an experienced naval architect and engineer with a strong background in the maritime industry. Currently serving as a Senior Floating Systems Engineer at BP in Angola since August 2017, James has also taken on the role of Lead Naval Architect for the Tortue FPSO project. Prior to this, James held the position of Lead Naval Architect at BP Shipping from March 2004 to August 2017. Additional experience includes working as a Naval Architect at Three Quays International from 2000 to 2004 and serving as a Ship Surveyor at Lloyd's Register between 1996 and 2000. James holds a degree in Ship Science from the University of Southampton, obtained between 1992 and 1996.
