Jamie Mitchell has extensive experience in aviation and search and rescue operations, spanning roles in both military and civilian sectors. From January 2013 to January 2015, Jamie served as the Search and Rescue Project Manager and Head of Search and Rescue at Brunei Shell Petroleum, focusing on helicopter operations and emergency response coordination. Prior military experience includes a decade with the Royal Navy as a Helicopter Pilot/Instructor and nearly nine years with the Royal Air Force as a Search and Rescue Helicopter Commander/Instructor. Since 2021, Jamie has volunteered with Surrey Search and Rescue and has been actively involved in operational safety at bp as an Operational Safety Advisor (Air Transport) since August 2024. Further leadership experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer for PHI Aviation in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from April 2022 to July 2024. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London.
