John McNamara

John McNamara possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Commercial Development Director for North American Gas & Power at BP since October 2012, where responsibilities include leading strategy development for various commodity teams and managing commercial venture approvals. Previously, at NiSource from July 1999 to March 2012, John held multiple roles including Vice President of Marketing & Origination, where efforts focused on the commercial strategy for the NiSource pipeline network, and various positions where John advanced customer relationships and managed marketing for Columbia Gulf Transmission. John began the professional journey at Columbia Gas Transmission as an Analyst in Public Affairs. Academic credentials include an MBA in General Management from the University of Maryland and a BA in History & Political Science from Rice University.
