Katie Gurses

Katie Gurses has extensive experience in geology, with a career spanning multiple roles at bp from 2007 to 2022. Initially, Katie served as a Development/Appraisal Geologist in Algeria, focusing on static descriptions of the In Amenas and In Salah fields, and advancing to roles such as Senior Geologist for Rapid Interpretation, and Senior Exploration Geologist across various global regions, including Brazil and Trinidad. Notable contributions include leading geologic efforts in the Barbados Trough and integrating local field data in the Laptev Sea. Most recently, Katie worked as an Advisor in Subsurface Performance Management, overseeing global hydrocarbon production reporting and forecasting. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Miami University.
