Lei Nie

Lei Nie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the chemical industry, currently serving as the Chemical Business Director at China-Base Ningbo Group Co., Ltd. since March 2018, where Lei initiated the PX and PX-PTA Spread trading business. Prior experience includes a role as China PX Supply Manager at BP, responsible for feedstock procurement, as well as positions leading operational and optimization teams within BP that enhanced supply stability and team capabilities. Lei began the career as a Research Assistant Intern at AkzoNobel and holds a doctorate in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from The University of Sheffield, along with a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from Fudan University, specializing in Macromolecular Physics and Chemistry and Macromolecular Science and Engineering respectively.
