Matthew Theurer

Matthew Theurer is a Senior Tax Counsel and Tax Senior Manager in Trading & Shipping at bp, where they have been applying their expertise since 2022. Previously, Matthew held key roles in tax planning and counsel at notable organizations, including Vice President of Corporate Tax Planning at PNC and BBVA in the USA, and Tax Counsel at BHP Billiton. Matthew began their career as a Tax Associate at Fulbright & Jaworski and also contributed as a Course Instructor in Income Tax of Trusts & Estates at Northeastern University. They earned a J.D. from The University of Montana School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, following a B.A. in English from the University of Utah.
