Matthew Zhang

Matthew Zhang is a Chartered Engineer with nearly 20 years of international experience specializing in renewable energy, particularly wind. They have held various roles, including Independent Renewable Energy Consultant at HZH Wind Energy and Project Manager at Wind Prospect, where they managed wind resource assessments and client relationships. Matthew served as Senior Specialist at Lloyd's Register and WSP in the UK, focusing on offshore wind project certification and technical analysis. Currently, they are the Resource Modelling Manager at Lightsource bp and bp, where they oversee technical assurance and design optimization of renewable projects globally. Matthew earned a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University and holds degrees in International Trade and Economy and Material Processing and Control from Dalian University of Technology.
