Michael Stender has extensive experience in human resources and employee relations, having held key leadership roles at BP from April 2019 to January 2021 and at ExxonMobil from January 2014 to April 2019. At BP, Michael served as Vice President of People Relations and Human Resources Director. In various capacities at ExxonMobil, including HR Operations Manager, Labor Advisor, and HR Manager, Michael led HR teams, supported a large integrated refinery, and provided guidance on labor relations while mentoring early career HR Advisors. Michael holds a Master's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University.
