Ming Wei is a seasoned expert in chemical engineering with extensive experience in corrosion chemistry and catalyst development. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at BP since 2007, Ming Wei leads research on corrosion problems in petroleum refining processes. Prior to this role, Ming Wei worked at Delphi as the Lead Scientist for automotive exhaust catalysts development, specializing in diesel exhaust emission aftertreatment components and innovative coating processes. Early career experience includes post-doctoral research at the University of Kansas and ETH Zürich, focusing on environmentally friendly catalytic processes and combustion technology, respectively. Ming Wei also developed catalysts at SINOPEC, contributing to both hydrotreating and hydrogenation processes. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, a Master's degree from Dalian University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree from Eastern China University of Science and Technology.
