Rajan Thandi

Rajan Thandi is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in system optimization and design within the energy sector. Currently serving as the System Technical Optimisation Lead at bp, Rajan focuses on enhancing systems in the Hydrogen portfolio. Previously, as Principal Systems Engineer and Performance Team Lead at Ceres Power, Rajan led the verification and validation of advanced H2 production technologies and facilitated through-life techno-economic optimization for solid oxide stacks. Rajan's earlier roles at Rolls-Royce included contributions to the design and demonstration of fuel cell systems and the development of analytical techniques for subsystem performance. Rajan also has management experience from Next Ltd, where supervisory skills enhanced customer service across multiple teams. Rajan holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University.
