Simon Thomas

Simon Thomas is a Senior Exploration & Appraisal Geologist with 18 years of operator experience at Statoil and BP. Simon's expertise encompasses conventional and unconventional resource appraisal, subsurface data integration, mapping, and 3D modeling. They previously served as a petrophysicist at Statoil and have held various roles at BP, including Senior Exploration Geologist and Shale Appraisal Geologist. Simon has demonstrated strong capabilities in geological characterization and technical coaching, contributing to major resource evaluation projects. Simon holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Geophysics & Geology from the University of Liverpool.
