Stephen Cheong is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over two decades in the subsea and oil and gas sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Project Engineer for XT Systems at BP since October 2010, Stephen holds several previous positions within the company, including Global Subsea Systems Hardware Engineer, Wells Subsea Lead Engineer, and Wells Subsea Engineer, focusing on safety and support for offshore installation activities. Prior to BP, Stephen worked at FMC Technologies from August 2004 to September 2010 as a Senior Field Support Engineer, providing technical analyses and solutions aligned with industry standards. Stephen earned an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University between 1999 and 2004 and completed education at Fettes College Edinburgh from 1995 to 1999.
