Stuart Thomson

Stuart Thomson is an experienced professional in the maritime and naval architecture sectors, currently serving as a Strategy and Partnerships Development Manager at bp since September 2012. With a background in management and engineering, Stuart has held multiple roles, including Business Advisor to the SVP Shipping and Team Lead for a global team of Naval Architects. Key responsibilities include overseeing engineering projects for a fleet of 50 vessels and new builds, as well as managing inspections and certifications at DNV GL Maritime. Stuart's earlier experience includes significant roles at DNV GL, such as Station Manager and Group Leader for Tankers, along with foundational positions at Global Maritime. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Management and Leadership from Cranfield School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
