BPAN Matters is a non-profit initiative dedicated to raising awareness, advancing research, and supporting families affected by BPAN (Beta-propeller Protein-Associated Neurodegeneration) and other NBIA (Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation) disorders.

Our mission is to build a strong, informed, and empowered community, advocate for better diagnosis and care, and accelerate the search for effective treatments. These ultra-rare neurodegenerative diseases affect children and young adults, causing progressive loss of mobility, cognition, and autonomy.

We believe that even the rarest conditions deserve attention, investment, and hope. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we aim to make a meaningful impact - because every life matters.
