Gordon Shaw

Mr. Shaw joined BPEA in 1998. Mr. Shaw is responsible for the Firm’s investments in Greater China. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Shaw was a Director of AIG Global Investment Corporation (Asia) Ltd. in Hong Kong, where he worked with Mr. Salata. He was also the Head of Equity Investment Department at Nan Shan Life Insurance (an AIG subsidiary in Taiwan at the time). Before that, he worked in Citibank’s Asian Private Equity and Corporate Finance departments. Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Shaw was a Senior Design Engineer at Schlumberger Technologies in San Jose, California.

Mr. Shaw earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was born in Taiwan and is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese.
