Stephane Gesta has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and research. Stephane is currently working at BPGbio Inc. as the Vice President of Discovery and Translational Biology, a role they started in January 2023. Prior to this, Stephane held various positions at BERG, including Senior Vice President of R&D and Science Strategy from January 2021 to January 2023, Vice President of R&D and Science Strategy from January 2018 to January 2021, Senior Director of Research & Development in 2017, Director of Research from 2014 to 2016, and Senior Scientist from 2011 to 2012. Before joining BERG, they worked at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor from February 2008 to September 2011. Stephane's career began at Joslin Diabetes Center in 2002, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate in the C. Ronald Kahn laboratory until September 2011.
Stephane Gesta obtained a Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III in 1998. Following this, they pursued further education and earned a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from the same institution, which they completed in 2001.
