Ellen Tohn

Ellen Tohn is an environmental and health consultant with over 30 years of experience and serves as the founder and principal of Tohn Environmental Strategies. Currently, they are the President of MassEnergize and an Assistant Professor of the Practice at the Brown School of Public Health. Previously, Tohn held positions as a Senior Associate at Jellinek, Schwartz, Connolly and Freshman and served as a board member for various organizations, including the Northeast Integrated Pest Management Center. Tohn's work focuses on housing-based environmental health threats, green building, and indoor air quality, significantly influencing policy solutions at multiple governmental levels. They hold a Master's degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Cornell University.
