Hubert Mooiman

Hubert Mooiman is an experienced educator and academic with a focus on classical studies and religious sciences. Currently serving as a bibliotheekmedewerker at BplusC since March 2025, Hubert has previously held various roles including docent at Universiteit Leiden, where teaching includes language acquisition in Latin and ancient religions, and serving as a PhD candidate researching the invention of religion in late ancient literature. Hubert's involvement in classical education extends to several positions within the Dutch Classical Association, including roles on the general board. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Religion and Pluralism from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and multiple degrees in Classics and Dutch language and culture from Universiteit Leiden. Additionally, Hubert has contributed to cultural programming at Église Wallonne de Leyde and has experience in editorial roles within classical publications.
