Kevin Kurtz has extensive experience in assay development, compound screening, and enzymology, currently serving as Assay Group Leader at BPS Bioscience Inc. since June 2012, having previously held the positions of Sr. Scientist I and Research Scientist II within the same organization. Prior to BPS Bioscience Inc., Kevin worked as a contractor at Abbott Laboratories focusing on cancer research and assay optimization from August 2011 to June 2012. Earlier experience at Abbott Laboratories from August 2001 to February 2011 included the development and validation of fluorescent assays for HCV NS3 proteases. Kevin's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University, supported by early experience as a research assistant and a student laboratory teaching assistant.
