Stephen C. Smith is a prominent academic and policy expert with extensive experience in economics and international affairs. Serving as the Chair of the Department of Economics, a Professor of Economics and International Affairs, and the Director of the Institute for International Economic Policy at The George Washington University since 1983, Stephen has significantly contributed to the field. Additionally, Stephen is a Research Fellow at IZA and an Advisory Board Member at BRAC USA. Past engagements include positions as a Nonresident Senior Fellow and Visiting Fellow at The Brookings Institution, a consultant for the World Bank Group, and a UNICEF Senior Fellow.
