Amena Begum

Amena Begum is an experienced professional with a strong background in social projects focused on gender-based violence (GBV) and community support. From January 2020 to December 2022, Amena served as both an Assistant Project Officer and Project Officer (GBV) with BRAC, working closely with the Rohingya community in partnership with UNHCR, where responsibilities included supervising daily prevention and outreach activities. Prior to this, Amena worked as a Field Registration Assistant at TAI Social Foundation, conducting interviews and managing biometric data for refugee families. Earlier experience includes a role as a receptionist at Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute Ltd., handling patient communications and administrative tasks. Amena holds a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Social Science in Geography and Environment from National University, Bangladesh, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at Central Law College, Dhaka.
