Sidra Khalid

Sidra Khalid currently serves as an Advocacy and Engagement Officer at BRAC since July 2022, overseeing the Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Extreme Poverty. Previous experience includes roles as Communications Officer at the World Food Programme from February 2021 to July 2022, and as a Program Associate specializing in Social Mobilization and Communication at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from September 2020 to February 2021. Sidra has also worked as a Social Safeguards and Gender Specialist at WaterAid, a Consultant with Saving 9, and held various positions at ADB and the Natural Resource Governance Institute focusing on gender equality and capacity development. Earlier roles feature communications and project support at ISEAL Alliance, Development in Action, and London Sustainability Exchange. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Culture, Sustainability, and Anthropology of Development from Durham University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
