Daniel U. currently serves as a Machine Learning Analyst at Bracebridge Capital, LLC, since January 2024. Previously, Daniel worked at Boston Children's Hospital as a Machine Learning Graduate Student Research Assistant in the Predictive Medicine Group, focusing on developing an Event Stream GPT model to predict psychosis using EHR data under the guidance of Dr. Ben Reis. Daniel's experience also includes roles as a Machine Learning Engineer at Superscript, Deep Learning Research at Bloomberg through a Columbia University program, and Software Engineering Contractor at Ginkgo Bioworks. Earlier positions involved working as an Investment Associate at First Bight Ventures, a Software Engineer at Fluent BioSciences, and participation in entrepreneurial programs at Harvard Innovation Labs and the Wyss Institute. Daniel holds master's degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University and Economics from Peking University, as well as a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in OEB (Mathematical/Computational Biology), complemented by an International Baccalaureate Diploma from International School Manila, where Daniel graduated as valedictorian.
