Odair Bison

Odair Bison has extensive experience in plant breeding and management, with a career spanning multiple roles in esteemed organizations. At Duratex, Odair worked as a Breeding Specialist focused on Eucalyptus and Corymbia, setting strategic crosses for a breeding program. Prior to Duratex, Odair served as Hibridization Leader and Senior Researcher at CTC - Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira, where responsibilities included team leadership and management of a breeding station budget. Earlier roles include Breeder at Sementes Adriana, where pearl millet inbred lines were developed, and Forest Breeding Coordinator at Bracell, overseeing eucalypt breeding programs. Academically, Odair holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and both a Master’s and Doctorate in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Universidade Federal de Lavras, complemented by ongoing MBA studies at Fundação Getulio Vargas.
