Bradford Breakthrough is the trusted voice of major employers in the Bradford district.

Established in 1991, Breakthrough brings together senior leaders from the district’s most significant organisations — collectively employing around 30,000 people — to share intelligence, shape priorities and advocate for the conditions that enable sustainable growth.

Membership is limited to the city’s major employers and their most senior decision-makers. This is a forum for leaders with responsibility, influence and a long-term stake in Bradford’s success.

How we operate

Chatham House Rule
Meetings are conducted under Chatham House principles. Members are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of speakers or contributors may be revealed. This ensures candid, constructive discussion.

Serious peer exchange
Breakthrough is not a networking club. It is a senior forum where leaders speak openly about the realities of skills, investment, infrastructure, productivity and reputation — and where practical alignment is built.

Constructive lobbying
We engage regularly with Parliamentarians, the Council, the Mayor and regional partners. Our advocacy is non-partisan, business-led and focused on outcomes that benefit the district.
