Hubert Mechain

Hubert Mechain has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Hubert started their career in 2002 as a Biotech Engineer at Sanofi-Synthelabo. Hubert then worked at Transgene, first as a Bioproduction Engineer and later as the Head of Bioproduction. At Transgene, they managed a viral vaccines production facility and led various engineering projects.

In 2008, Hubert joined Transgene again, this time as the Senior Director Manufacturing & Pilot Plant Manager. Hubert was responsible for managing the production facility and a team of process experts. Hubert successfully conducted FDA gap analysis and implemented CAPA to prepare the manufacturing unit for producing late clinical stage and commercial products. Hubert also oversaw tech transfers from American partners and to contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) for commercial manufacturing.

In 2016, Hubert worked as an Independent Consultant Bioproduction MTI at Hubert MECHAIN Conseil and as part of a Transition Management Mission at THERAVECTYS. Hubert provided consulting and transition management services in the bioproduction field.

From 2017 to 2019, they held multiple roles at BrainEver, including CTO - Chief Technical Officer and Senior Manager CMC Operations. BrainEver is a therapeutic company focusing on innovative strategies for brain development and physiology. Hubert contributed to the company's goals through their technical expertise and management skills.

In 2022, Hubert became an Advisory Board Member at ILONOV, and in 2023, they joined the Strategic Advisory Board of SUPERBRANCHE. These roles reflect their expertise and involvement in strategic decision-making and advisory capacities.

Hubert Mechain has a diverse education history. In 1996, they attended Medical University, where they studied medical studies for a year. In 1997, they enrolled in Science University and completed a Double DEUG degree in Biology & Chemistry by 1999. Later, from 1999 to 2002, Hubert pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Biotechnology at Polytech Marseille (ESIL Biotech). In 2012, they furthered their education by attending EM Strasbourg Business School, earning an Executive Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General in 2013.
