Nathan Strong

Nathan Strong is currently the AI Development Lead at BrainKey. Prior to this, they were with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and Terroir AI. Nathan has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Affiliate and Research Assistant at Stanford University.

Nathan has always been interested in pathogens and disinfection and how to make a positive impact in their communities. As a Laboratory Safety Officer at Stanford, they developed BSL2 protocols and oversaw the certification process for safe handling of ascaris, salmonella, and influenza. Nathan also trained over 20 people in lab safety and compliance with laboratory safety protocols.

As a Research Assistant, Nathan worked on various projects related to pathogen and disinfection technology. Nathan also conducted weekly surveys to obtain student feedback and adapt course material to student interests.

Nathan Strong earned their PhD in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Stanford University. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science in environmental engineering and science from Stanford University. Nathan completed their undergraduate studies at Calvin College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics.
