Mona Frommert

Mona Frommert is a Senior Software Engineer at Brainlab since October 2012, specializing in implementing and enhancing algorithms for the fusion, registration, and segmentation of patient images, with a focus on simulating brain deformation using finite elements. Previous experience includes a Postdoc in Image Analysis at the Université de Genève, supporting the ESA satellite mission "Planck" by analyzing data to detect anisotropy in the Universe, as well as a PhD in Astrophysics at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics, where research focused on the Cosmic Microwave Background. Additional roles include supervising a Master’s thesis at TU München and working as a Werkstudent at Siemens Healthcare, re-implementing a data conversion tool in C++. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Astrophysics from the Max-Planck Institute for Astrophysics and a Diplom in Physics from Heidelberg University.
