Sam Kuttner has extensive work experience in various roles. Sam most recently worked at BrainPOP as the Sr Manager of Learning and Performance, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Learning and Performance at the same company from March 2021 to December 2022.
Before joining BrainPOP, Sam worked at The Group Forward as a Facilitator and Consultant. In this role, they helped organizations build positive team dynamics and engaged learners. Sam worked with a diverse range of organizations from schools and non-profits to startups and Fortune 100 companies. Sam'stenure at The Group Forward was from June 2020 to March 2021.

Sam's work experience includes a role as an NIF/Shatil Fellow at The Hotline for Refugees and Migrants. Sam conducted field research on the conditions of asylum-seekers and migrant workers, co-authored a Migration Detention Monitoring Report, and contributed to legal strategies to improve conditions in immigration detention centers. Sam held this position from August 2015 to August 2016.
Earlier in their career, Sam was a Fellow at the Dorot Foundation, where they researched and studied cross-cultural leadership development in Israel/Palestine. Sam also developed an ESL curriculum for the African Refugee Development Center and organized immersive seminars on intersectional topics in Israeli society. Sam worked at the Dorot Foundation from August 2014 to August 2015.
Sam began their career with Teach For America, where they held multiple roles. As a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development, they exceeded regional and national averages in teacher retention, student achievement, and teacher satisfaction. Sam held this position from May 2012 to August 2014. Prior to that, they were a 2010 Corps Member, working in a low-income public school to close the achievement gap. Sam set ambitious goals for student acceptance into universities and increased the school's graduation rate. Sam served as a 2010 Corps Member from May 2010 to May 2012.
Sam Kuttner attended Boston University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Sam'sstudies focused on International Relations and Anthropology.
