Barinder Thind

Barinder Thind is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Later since July 2020, where contributions include developing a full data stack, leading the growth of the data team, and implementing advanced forecasting models. Alongside this role, Barinder teaches data science at BrainStation and has previous experience as a Statistical Consultant and Researcher at Simon Fraser University, focusing on statistical analysis and the development of R packages. Earlier positions include a Junior Quantitative Engineer Intern at Oquant Inc., a Methodologist at Statistics Canada, and a Data Processor at HockeyData Inc. Barinder holds a Master of Science in Statistics and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Statistics and Economics from Simon Fraser University.
