Jon Small

Jon Small has extensive work experience in the education and edtech industry. Jon is currently the Chief Revenue Officer at braintrust since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Edtech from February 2022 to October 2022, where they helped launch and market new products and services.

From November 2019 to February 2022, Jon was the General Manager at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. Jon successfully launched and scaled multiple multi-million dollar businesses, serving prominent school districts and academic clients.

Before that, they held leadership positions at Revolution Prep from July 2018 to November 2019, where they served as President and Vice President, Sales. During their tenure, the sales team achieved hypergrowth and the instruction team improved the NPS score.

From June 2012 to October 2015, Jon worked as the Vice President, Sales at Veritas Prep, overseeing sales, operations, and finance. Under their leadership, the company achieved significant revenue growth.

Jon's earlier experience includes roles at Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, where they served as Regional Faculty Director, Multi-Center Director, and Academic Manager. Jon successfully managed faculty teams, achieved cost savings, and contributed to revenue growth.

Jon Small has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a field study in retail management from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Jon also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Music from New York University. Furthermore, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from McGill University.
