Joseph Laverty

Joseph Laverty has held several software engineering positions since 2014. Joseph began their career as a Software Developer at the University of Maryland, where they developed front and backend applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#. Joseph also maintained and debugged legacy applications in Java and PHP, and moved existing codebase from Java to C#. In 2017, they joined TD Ameritrade as a Software Developer. During their time there, they served as technical lead for 4 software developers and 2 embedded QAs for a high priority project revamping the backend for TD Ameritrade's internal customer service application. Joseph also developed a high-throughput Splunk and Spring Actuator scraper that collects metrics and stores them in a Graphite TSDB for display through Grafana dashboards. In 2018, they joined T. Rowe Price as a Senior Software Engineer. As the primary DevOps resource on a team of 11 developers, they successfully introduced automated integration testing and code policy enforcement in a complex service topology. Joseph also managed AWS infrastructure via terraform to support the investment risk platform - a wide array of ECS and lambda based services. In 2021, they joined Brandfolder as a Software Engineer.

Joseph Laverty obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland between 2013 and 2017.
