Levi Long has worked in the software engineering field since 2015. Levi began their career at Community Health Systems as a Corporate Intern in Technology Infrastructure, where they had insight into BMC Remedy, Disaster Recovery, Change Management, IT Continuity Management, IT Service Management, Decommissioning, and Production Turnover. Levi then moved to the HL7 Integration team, where they provided support for both Mirth Connect and Rhapsody HL7 interfaces as well as development in both Mirth and Rhapsody.
In 2018, Levi Long joined Marathon Health as a Senior Software Engineer, where they managed the design and implementation of the central Mirth Connect engine, which acted as an Enterprise Service Bus, to connect various healthcare vendors utilizing a REST API architecture with the programming languages Java and Rhino JavaScript framework. Levi also assisted in Salesforce technical architecture and provided APEX coding when needed.
In 2021, Levi Long moved to CirrusMD Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they co-led a research effort on using tools such as Mirth to integrate with other healthcare applications. Levi also integrated the web application with Health Gorilla using their FHIR R4 APIs for easy data sharing to an HIE clearing house, and moved the developer documentation from a 3rd party hosted site to GitHub pages providing cost savings for the company.
Currently, Levi Long is working as a Software Engineer II at Brandfolder.
Levi Long attended Motlow State Community College from 2013 to 2016, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Science.
