Angela Liu

Angela Liu is a Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in seismic design and structural assessment, currently working at BRANZ since 2009. Angela has contributed to several key projects and initiatives, including serving as a Committee Member of NZS3101 and guiding the development of bracing systems for light timber framed buildings. Angela's previous roles involve structural engineering at Beca, Dunning Thornton Consultants, and Hadley Robinson Ltd, where significant work included base-isolation design and the seismic strengthening of various buildings and infrastructures. Academic experience includes a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Canterbury and lecturing at Taiyuan University of Technology, focusing on RC Structural Design and Structural Dynamics.
